Sanger High is not just a place for academic achievement, but has now become a place for young entrepreneurs. Students are turning their hobbies into thriving businesses. Three students Isabella Gunn, Zoey Oregon, and Taylor Hernandez, are three
examples of students who have paved their way into business by each running their own business while balancing school life.
Senior Isabella Gunn has turned her lifelong passion of baking into a successful sourdough bread business.
“I’ve baked my whole life, and when I started making sourdough, my friends and family suggested I start selling it,” Gunn shared. S
he offers a variety of sourdough flavors from chocolate chip to cheddar jalapeño with prices ranging from $7 to $18. Gunn enjoys the freedom of running her business on her own time, and she’s proud of how far she has come.

Current Senior Zoey Oregon’s business journey began unexpectedly in 2020 when her Instagram account, @zoeschamoy, blew up. Specializing in chamoy, and chamoy candies. Oregon has reached customers as far as New York and Japan.
“Once you’ve experienced becoming your own boss it’s enjoyable,” Zoey explains, showing her love for making her own financial choices. Supported by her family, Oregon hopes to continue growing her business outside of school.
Junior Taylor Hernandez’s passion for crafting inspired her to start a business focused on crocheting and friendship bracelets.
“I always thou
ght entrepreneurship was cool, and I’ve been making crafts my whole life,” Hernandez said. She sells everything from keychains to crochet plushies and tops. Hernandez has participated in several markets, including a Christmas market in Manteca and the Children’s Small Business Fair in Clovis, where she nearly sold out her products.
