Jasmin Cortez is a 17 year old senior attending Sanger High School. She is the eldest child of four.  Being born and raised in Sanger, Jasmin feels a strong connection to her community. She attended Reagan Elementary and Washington Academic Middle School before coming to Sanger High. Jasmin is the Editor In Chief of the 2025-2026 yearbook, and is also in her first year of journalism. This year she is excited to continue participating in school clubs and events, along with being an active participant in trying to help make her community a better place. A proud moment Jasmin has Achieved at Sanger High was raising about $4,000 her junior year; for a student who passed away during the school year. She did so with one of the school clubs she was vice president in Sanger High’s  “Green Team.’’ Jasmin will continue to do many school clubs for the 2025-2026 school year such as Green Team, Civic Education, the React Club, FFA Floral club and many more. Jasmin will pursue these clubs and more community events in hopes to make big changes, whether it be in her school, community or just within the people she meets. Jasmin wishes to pursue a career in psychology or communications; she wishes to do so by attending Fresno City after high school for two years where she will work to gain her associates degree, then in hopes to transfer out to a university in California to achieve a bachelor’s degree. Jasmin has high hopes for her senior year and is ready for all the difficulties, memories, and more to come.
