This school year, Sanger High School is welcoming eight new teachers to its campus, each bringing unique backgrounds and experiences to the classrooms.
From Special Education to Agricultural Mechanics, these teachers are excited to start a new chapter in their career at Sanger High School.
Michelle is no stranger to teaching, having spent 12 years as a substitute in multiple districts. Although she was not raised in Sanger, her family has deep roots in Sanger, with her mother being a former student of Sanger.
Marshall said, “I love my students, the relationships I build with them will always outweigh those tough days.” She is excited to embrace the challenges of teaching high school and looks forward to making a lasting impact on her students.
Originally from Thailand, Ai Mee Xiong brings his experience in high school mathematics from Dinuba Unified. New to both Sanger and the school district, he has already found a sense of community.
“I really like it here. The staff and students are all so nice,” says Xiong, who is looking forward to contributing to the school’s math program.
With roots in Selma, Jewlia Winter is in her second year of teaching after gaining experience in agriculture mechanics, welding, and advanced construction at California State University of Fresno. She describes her new role at Sanger as both exciting and challenging.
“It’s a valuable experience for growth and learning,” Winter says, highlighting her enthusiasm for the year ahead.
